Aloha!!!

10/19/08 - Just wanted to give you all a little heads-up on a few giant changes that are coming to you all in the very near future!

First off, I've been working with Rob Bertholf over at www.empoweredinternet(solutions).com, and he and his team are going to help design a killer new look and feel to the site that I think you're gonna really like. Up 'till now, I've been doing everything alone, including all the photography, but now is finally time to take it to another level.

The new site will also be named differently. Instead of aku-eats-oahu.com or akueatsoahu.com, it will simply be called akueats.com. It'll still be an Oahu food/restaurant site primarily, but I just wanted to encompass a little more scope in the name, especially since I've already taken you on several closer look pages to New Zealand and a few outer islands and plan on other locales, as well.

Another feature I'll be incorporating is a section for comments and feedback regarding the various restaurants, eateries, and other experiences. This is a good way for others to balance me out a bit, and it always helps visitors to get more opinions from others beside li'l 'ol me, as well. Please feel free to make comments to this section after it is built!!!

There will even be a "custom advice" section, where I can give out personal tips on where to eat and what to expect. As long as it doesn't get out of hand, it'll be free and something simple, and hopefully of help to some of you out there. I love advising visitors at my workplace who regularly ask questions about the best places to eat around town.

And finally, I wanted to thank all of you who have been faithful enough to continue visiting, from places as far away as Japan, Finland, Italy, Spain, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Samoa, the Seychelles, the Filipines, Tuvalu, Canada, and so much more! I don't know how you found the site, but I do thank you for doing so - feel free to send me a note sometime! As more and more people stop by, I feel a growing responsibility to provide better content and material, so hopefully I can keep everyone happy!!! I actually have many more things planned in the future, but I'm not saying a word just yet...

The re-construction process should take anywhere from one to three months, so please forgive me if I'm not contributing to the closer look pages as often!
